Title: Enabling National Priorities via Shipbuilding

Description:

The United States is a maritime nation, both the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard protect America at sea. Alongside our allies and partners, these naval services defend freedom, preserve economic prosperity, and keep the seas open and free. Freedom of navigation requires capable ships. Government and industry leaders on the panel “Enabling National Priorities via Shipbuilding” lead by Vice Adm. James Downey, commander, Naval Sea Systems Command, discuss shipbuilding and its relationship to delivering warfighting capability to the combatant commander.
